Defrost and Dehumidifying Modes
All LG heat pumps come equipped with intelligent defrost control. This triggers your system to shut off the indoor fan when ambient temperatures drop to keep cold air from blowing into your space. Internal dehumidifiers also sense the amount of moisture in your area and control the compressor’s function before a room can get too cold. If your air feels thick or muggy, you can run the dehumidifier alone to remove excess humidity.

When installing your ductless system, a licensed HVAC technician will:
Calculate the size of your heat pump.
Sizing is one of the most important factors of installation. Improper sizing can have long-term consequences, like inefficient heating and cooling or rapid cycling. Your contractor will assess your space to determine how many BTUs are needed for your space and will select the equipment that best meets your needs.
Prepare the area.
In most cases, the area in your home or office where the heat pump is intended to go will need some prep. Small holes will be drilled into your wall to put the refrigerant lines to and a brick or concrete pad may be laid out to put the outdoor condenser on.
Clean up and assist with warranties.
The right technician will clean up the area after work is complete and help you fill out your warranty cards or rebate forms that accompany your purchase. They should also check the function and features of your system to ensure they work properly before leaving.
