Ductless Mini Split Heat Pump Systems Provide Variety and Style
Ductless Mini Split heating and cooling systems come in a variety of sizes and indoor unit styles. Choose from 7,000 Btu to 24,000 BTU/h indoors and up to 60,000 BTU/h outdoors to achieve the appropriate amount of conditioning for your space. Indoor models are available in Wall Mounted, which mount high on the wall, Floor Mount, which are ideal for any room with limited upper wall space, Slim Duct, which is concealed in the ceiling and has the look of central air, or Compact Cassette, which fits perfectly into a drop ceiling configuration with just the outer grille showing.
Wall Mounted
Mount high on a wall, out of sight and do not require ductwork, increasing energy efficiency. These systems come in a variety of BTU/h sizes ranging from 7,000 (in a multi-zone configuration) up to 36,000 BTU/h and can be used as single zone or multi-zone systems.

Floor Mounted
These models have a sleek modern look and are ideal for residential radiator replacements or any room with limited upper wall space. There are two different series of floor mount lines available – the RLFF line that provides heating down to -5F outdoor temperatures and the RLFFH line that provides heating down to -15F outdoor temperatures, for extremely cold climates.

Slim
Mounted in a ceiling or in a framed enclosure below a ceiling. They use minimal ductwork and remain very energy efficient. These models are available as single zone or multi-zone configurations ranging in size from as low as 7,000 BTU to as high as 24,000 BTU.

Ceiling Cassette
Extremely discreet, with only the grille showing in the ceiling. The latest fan technology is used to distribute the conditioned air evenly.

Mini-split systems require little or no ductwork. This means they avoid the energy losses associated with the ductwork of central forced air systems. As much as 30% energy loss can be accounted for in Central Air space conditioning, especially if the ducts are in an unconditioned space such as an attic or basement.
Ductwork required by a traditional Central air systems is much more expensive and intrusive to a home. Homeowners soon realize the expense of installation, and proper cleaning to keep these systems running efficiently.

I had five estimates done by various companies across Cape Cod. Cape Cod Heat Pumps was $4000 under the next lowest estimate. Every member of their team that I dealt with was professional and friendly. The install was scheduled for two days for a three head system, but their team completed it in one day. The LG system they used is super quiet, heats evenly throughout the house and doesn't come on as often as the baseboard system it replaced. I'm sure it will cut my electric bill as well since the baseboard system was on four seperate 30 amp circuits and this system runs on a single 30 amp circuit. Definitely recommend.

I Highly recommend Cape Cod Heat Pumps. They installed a new mini split system as part of a whole home conversion from gas. I found the entire team from estimates to installation and paper work to be thorough and professional. Jared (the owner) and Chris (installation lead) were creative in problem solving the installation design while making sure the I was comfortable with the exterior and interior placements of units and piping. Overall a great experience for a major home improvement.

Cape Cod Heat Pumps installed a new multi-zone heat pump system at our house this summer. From the planning stage to finalizing the installation, and help with paperwork, Cape Cod Heat Pumps was hands down one of the most professional, courteous, and communicative, companies I have had the pleasure to work with. The pricing was competitive, too, and they were the only HVAC company (out of five quotes we got) with a 2 years warranty on workmanship (in addition to 12 years of warranty on parts), everyone else only offered 1 year. I am very happy with the ducted heat pump system installed by Cape Cod Heat Pumps. The system they installed works great and is super quiet. I wanted a central air system in my house, but I was worry about losing the headroom in my basement from the ductwork. Mike who came out for the estimate understood and noted my concern. He came up with a system that required the least amount of headroom in the basement. Few days before the installation, Jared stopped by and walked through the ductwork and the vents layout with me, as well as answering all the questions that I had. During the installation, Jared and his crew were very thoughtful about the placement of ducts, returns, and vents. They would made sure that I was happy with everything throughout every step of the installation. The crew were very professional and would clean and vacuum the house before they leave. Everyone from CCHP is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. More importantly, they listen and try to come up with solutions that meet their customer’s needs. We chose to go with Cape Cod Heat Pumps after we met with about 5 other people for cooling options. Jared was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, had more than one option to present, and was more than happy to address all of our silly questions. Once we signed the proposal (which came back to us quickly) Chawnna helped us navigate the paperwork and the heat loan process and she was great to work with. When it came to install week we had a total of 4 guys in our home doing the work and they were all great! They kept the place clean (much appreciated since we have two littles running around and I would have assumed with all the new ducts there would be lots of dust) they were friendly, respectful, and seemed to care about what they were doing—they were very thoughtful about the placement of ducts, returns, and all visible equipment. We are Very happy with the install of the heating/ac system. Cape cod heat pumps offered options other providers didn’t -including ceiling vents which didn’t require units to be hung on the walls for many of the rooms. They were on time, and professional. They managed the mass save paperwork and walked us through the process. We got many quotes and found cape cod heat pumps very competitive. We highly recommend them.

We had spoken to two other air conditioning contractors before contacting Cape Cod Heat Pumps about a mini-split air conditioning system. The other contractors wanted to run the refrigerant lines directly through the outside walls and then run duct around the outside of the house. to connect to the outside condenser units. With 6 indoor units to be installed, we would have had ductwork running all over the outside of the house. This was not exactly what we envisioned for our two story Cape Cod home. Jared, the owner of Cape Cod Heat Pumps, had a reputation for creative solutions and he came through. He was able to run all but two lines through the basement, above the drop ceiling. Inside of the house, the wall and and floor units are beautiful, with no tubing showing anywhere. Outside, there are only two short pieces of duct, on only one side of the house, which can't be seen from the front. The crew also nicely hid the condensate drain hoses so that the were well below the shrub line, or directly feeding the rain gutters, so they were invisible. It was an excellent job that Chris and the crew finished in less than 3 days. I highly recommend Cape Cod Heat Pumps.

We used Cape Cod Heat Pumps to install 5 mini splits in our home. They did a great job and Ryle, the associate who worked at the house all day made it very easy and comfortable to have workers in the house with a newborn baby during covid 19. We love our new AC, it runs great, and the experience was overall hassle free. We used a 5 year interest free loan provided by Mass Save after having Cape Light Compact out.

We called Cape Cod Heat Pumps last winter to install a mini-split in our bedroom (we already had them in our two main living areas). Jared came right out to review our current set up and recommended a solution that enabled us to save money by not needing to add a second condenser. We agreed with their proposal and the installation happened quickly and effortlessly. They were supposed to come back in mid-March to do preventive maintenance on the condenser and remaining older mini-split (which were installed by a contractor a few years ago). Of course, the pandemic hit and the maintenance had to be postponed. They came today and the technician was awesome--very professional, thorough and friendly. Cape Cod Heat did a very professional evaluation of the installation of Mini-Split at our home in Woods Hole. Jared listened carefully to our requirement and recommended a system using a single compressor and explained very clearly why this would satisfy our needs and save equipment cost. It was by far the best evaluation of four competitive proposals we received. The installation was done on time, exactly as agreed, with very neat solutions to some tricky layout.
